Project
Management e-Learning
Apart from
regular classroom classes and training, nowadays there are many
e-learning resources for Project Management. We are discussing few
ones here:
1. Project
Management e-Learning from PM College®: PM College, the leader in
classroom-based project management training, now offers a flexible,
in-depth e-learning program – Beyond Basics: From PM Essentials to
PMP® Mastery. This online project management training program is
self-paced and focused on helping learners truly understand the
fundamental principles of project management. For learners who want
to become certified Project Management Professionals (PMPs), this
program will prepare them to score a passing grade on the PMP exam,
and earn up to 100 contact hours to satisfy the education
requirement in order to sit for the test. Certified PMPs can satisfy
their learning requirements (earning up to 100 PDUs) towards their
re-certification by successfully completing the Beyond Basics
program.
How it
Works:
- Content:
Content for the Beyond Basics program is based on the nine
knowledge areas contained within PMI's PMBOK® Guide. Rounding out
the program knowledge base is a section covering general project
management issues.
- Sections:
General Project Management, Integration Management ,Scope
Management , Time Management ,Cost Management ,Quality Management
,Human Resource ,Management ,Communication Management ,Risk
Management ,Procurement Management. Each of the five core stages
of a project life cycle (initiation, planning, executing,
controlling and closing) is referenced throughout. After every
section, learners take a 20-question quiz to immediately validate
their grasp of key learning points. Once all sections and quizzes
have been completed, learners can then take the comprehensive, 30
question multiple-choice exams required to earn a Beyond Basics
course certificate.
- PMP Exam
Practice: In addition, two full-length PMP simulation tests are
available as part of the program. These tests consist of 200
multiple-choice questions designed to simulate the actual PMP exam
experience. A detailed summary of test performance is provided at
the end of each test. Learners will feel more comfortable with the
PMP exam format and know what to expect when taking the actual
exam.
- Progress
Reporting: At every stage of this e-learning experience, Beyond
Basics keeps track the learner's progress, and provides real-time
diagnostic reports that can be accessed by the learner at any
time. The reports help learner's track their time, performance,
and areas that need the most attention. Charts and graphs make
progress easy to visualize. All test scores are tracked and time
spent on the site is logged as part of the learner's individual
profile.
- Access:
Beyond Basics learners are set up with a secure login ID and a
total of 100 access hours to the program. They can take as long as
they need to complete the learning requirements as long as they do
not exceed the 100 total hours.
